Emergency First Aid at Work
This course is designed for people who want to receive training in Emergency First Aid. It is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments and will give candidates the confidence to deal with the most common emergencies.

Emergency First Aid at Work
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is six hours and is delivered in one day. The course comprises of practical work and theoretical classroom work, including practical assessment on CPR and first aid.
On completing your course, you will understand the first aider's role, including:
- Preventing cross infection, recording incidents and actions and use of available equipment.
· You will be able to assess situations and circumstances in order to provide first aid in a range of emergencies, including:
- An unconscious adult casualty (including seizure).
- Administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to an adult, including using an AED.
- An adult casualty who is choking.
- An adult casualty who is wounded and bleeding.
- Adult casualty who is suffering from shock.
- Minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters).
The award is valid for three years as of the date of assessment. The course is delivered and certificated by A.D. Training & Development.
