The mission of West End Glasgow Basketball Club is to provide affordable and fun team basketball in support of the health, friendships and general happiness of our members. The club supports coach-led recreational practices and the developing Ravens local league team. Our sessions are for adult (18+) women and non-binary people. We welcome new members at all times. We are a BasketballScotland registered club. For our club, 2024 was our founding year. Our groups have structured training, social activities, enjoy special bball events, and we enter the Ravens team - with its focus on enjoyable team development regardless of match results - into the competitive Strathclyde local league. Supporting those who wish to volunteer, gain certification as officials or coaches, and give back so that all among our basketball teams can be their best, confident selves.

Subject to funding and growth with time, our club will potentially support the development of junior teams or synchronised parent and child practices over weekend slots in future.

Our qualified coaches, referees/officials, and others are certified with BasketballScotland. And wherever required by our sports governing body and law, background (PVG) checks are in place for coaches and all volunteers with club responsibilities. These steps help ensure the safety of vulnerable people and children among our club's members or connected with as part of the city's community.
