About Glasgow Wheelchair Rugby Club

The Glasgow Wheelchair Rugby Club are a wheelchair rugby team and train every Tuesday evening 7 - 9pm at Tollcross leisure centre in Glasgow. Wheelchair rugby is a fun, fast paced, dynamic sport and all those involved with the club from players to volunte

Wheelchair rugby is a fast paced, full contact team sport open to ages eight upwards and both sexes and to most levels of disabilities, especially those with higher levels of disabilities for whom there are very few options to take part in sport. To qualify to play competitively, player must have a disability affecting their arms and legs, although there's no restrictions to anyone who would like to join training for the fitness benefits. Playing wheelchair rugby not only promotes one's fitness but increases well-being and confidence of all those taking part by traveling to various competitions, and meeting, playing and socialising with a whole new group of friends.
