About Football Foundation Catering Unit Fund
The aim of this new Football Foundation grant is to enable clubs and other eligible organisations to both generate income and operate their facilities more sustainably through use of The Huddle Catering Units. A key priority is to ensure that the surplus income generated through sale of food and beverages is used to improve the grass pitch quality on site. Installing a Catering Unit can also lead to a better experience for players, spectators and all engaging with community sports. Clubs and eligible organisations will be able to access funding for a Catering Unit via two funding schemes:
Catering Unit Fund
- Any eligible organisation can apply.
- It is advised that organisations must have completed a PitchPower Inspection or be part of the 3G Register pre-application.
- The Foundation will award a maximum grant for a Catering Unit of £50,000, that does not exceed 75% of the total project costs.
Home Advantage Programme
- The Home Advantage Programme (HAP) is a Football Foundation funded programme that provides funding to support grassroots football organisations to take on long-term leases of Local Authority owned sites.
- Any Catering Unit projects funded via HAP will be 100% fully Funded.
