About West of Scotland Cricket Club

Located in Glasgow's West End close to Partick Station, West provides opportunities to play cricket and train throughout the year using our outdoor facilities and indoor nets. Level 2 and 3 Coaches available plus 6 active teams including juniors and women

West of Scotland Cricket Club is based at Hamilton Crescent, located on Peel Street in Partick. The club currently fields six senior teams, a women's senior team and teams in every junior league.

The club was founded in 1862 as a result of a meeting which took place at the then Clarence Hotel in George Square, Glasgow, between a group of local businessmen and players from the Clutha Cricket Club, who had used the northern part of Hamilton Crescent for matches prior to West's inception.

The historic site was the venue for the first ever official International Football match between Scotland and England on November 30th, 1872.

We are proud of our history and sporting heritage. Click here to find out more.
