Activity Information
Hello and a warm welcome to Community Scotland!
We are a small community group of Tai Chi 'Players', who meet once a week online to learn and practice Tai Chi.
The sessions are run by our lovely experienced Teacher, Jamie Simpson, who has been practicing tai chi for over 24 years.
We started in Cardonald Library over 5 years ago but moved online when Covid struck in 2020 and we have stayed online since.
Tai chi is a form of exercise which consists of slow, flowing movements which when practiced provides improvement in strength and mobility. It is well known for its many health benefits, to both body and mind. It can help to strength your legs, provide better flexibility in the joints, the hips in particular and helps to reduce anxiety and stress levels. It helps you to relax, improves your mood and ability to sleep better.
We can promise you'll have fun in the session too!
Almost anyone can do Tai Chi, as you work within your own ability to move and balance and it will improve both!
Please get in touch if you'd like to know more.
