Archery
Archery is the art, sport, practice, or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat. In modern times, it is mainly a competitive sport and recreational activity. Archery can take place indoors or outdoors so you can do it all year round.
An Overview of Archery
Archery offers many opportunities across age ranges and abilities. It is a very social sport and provides the opportunity to join a club, shoot in a social setting and participate, should you want, in friendly club and inter-club competitions (indoor in winter, outdoor in summer).

The Vanguard Centre
The Vanguard Centre is a converted railway arch near Glasgow city centre which is well-situated and easy to reach. We offer regular classes and events for Archery, Historical European Martial Arts and seminars for other activities.

Southside Archery are a non-affiliated archery club based in the southside of Glasgow. Our mission is to make archery more accessible by keeping costs low and providing equipment and we have a strong focus on wellbeing.

Glasgow Archers was founded in 1948 and we’ve called our current field home since 1974. We are led by volunteers and are always on the look out for new members and frequently run learn to shoot activities in addition to competitive and club archery.
