About Western Baths Water Polo Club
We are Western Baths Water Polo Club (WBWPC), a friendly and competitive senior water polo club based in Glasgow.Water Polo has been played at the Western Baths since 1876 and is one of the oldest clubs in Scotland!
We are a welcoming group of polo players who like nothing better than to train, socialise, compete and develop the sport of water polo in the west of Scotland! So if you are an experienced player or a complete beginner we are happy to support you getting involved with the club!
Western is committed to developing water polo in the west of Scotland and through this we have achieved Scottish Swimming's accreditation: PoloMark.
We train at the following times every week (subject to change over Christmas and Summer). Members of all abilities are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible each week!
Monday, 20:30-22:00 @ Western Baths Club
Wednesday, 18:30-20:00 @ Strathclyde University (Women Only)
Thursday, 20:00-22:00 @ Tollcross International Swimming Pool
Friday, 20:00-21:30 @ Strathclyde University
Western Baths have both a competitive Senior Men's & Women's team that enter various competitions/leagues annually:
Scottish National League (SNL) - Senior Men & Senior Women
West District Cup - Senior Men & Senior Women
Warrender 5's - Mixed
If you are interested in joining the club then please get in contact with us and come down to give it a go. We will offer you a few sessions for free to see if the club/sport is the right fit for you and then we ask for membership to be paid monthly:
Adults - £40.00
Juniors/Students - £20.00
